Many of us look in the mirror and wonder how to maintain a youthful complexion. We relentlessly seek the miracle product, or treatment, that will give us “the flawless look” we see in magazines, or fantasize ourselves having.
The saying “we are what we eat” is so true! Coffee, soda, juice drinks, snacks, sugar, fatty meats, and foods containing high sodium and preservatives all affect our body and metabolism. Feeling tired, bloated, and puffy are common symptoms of toxins in your body. These toxins come from different sources including the air, water, and food. Processed foods, processed white flours, and fried foods have ingredients that interfere with the body’s natural ability to digest and cleanse. These chemicals generally accumulate in our bodies, particularly in fat tissue.
How toxic am I?
This is the first question we must ask ourselves in order to find the source of our unhealthy eating habits. A green cleanse is an effective way to help jumpstart our body’s healing process and to see quick results. Choosing organic foods, high fiber and water are a healthy way to start eating differently. Starting each day with a green based, fresh vegetable juice, or buying a ready made drink, such as Naked’s Green Machine smoothie, followed by a green salad with kale, avocado and goat cheese, carrot soup, steamed veggies, and baked yams will help to cleanse your body, your skin and make you feel less sluggish. This regiment will give an instant radiance via immediate nutrition and oxygenation.
